Research
In addition to the academic work of our affiliated faculty and staff, PAS continues to research and publish African-based scholarship. PAS hosts sponsored summer programs related to the African continent. PAS is home to the Institute for the Study of Islamic Thought in Africa (ISITA) research center and funds research clusters for faculty and grad student research. ISITA is devoted entirely to the study of Islam in Africa. It connects a vibrant international network of scholars with shared interests in Islam and Africa.
